The free open source Mobile Atlas Creator is your gateway to dozens of mapping and GPS apps for every platform. Install it on your Windows, Macintosh or Linux computer and add Boyd’s Maps by simply dragging and dropping the files. Choose all or part of the map and send it to dozens of compatible apps for your phone, tablet or computer.
And Mobile Atlas Creator is also compatible with Basecamp and your Garmin handheld GPS, or VantagePoint and your Magellan handheld.
All of Boyd’s Maps include full documentation with a comprehensive tutorial – written for beginners with lots of illustrations – to guide you through each step of installing Mobile Atlas Creator and using it with your favorite apps and devices.
But Mobile Atlas Creator can take you farther than Boyd’s Maps, with built-in access to free topographic maps and aerial imagery from the USGS National Map, free topographic maps from National Resources Canada Toporama, OpenStreetMap and more. The tutorial shows how to use these with your favorite app or handheld GPS too. And it’s not just for Boyd’s Maps: the techniques presented in the Mobile Atlas Creator tutorial can be used with maps from any source!
